Alyssa has been a massage therapist since 2006 after graduating from the Massage Institute of Cape. She also has a history of working in healthcare for eight years as an electronic medical records trainer in Maine and Massachusetts.
Shortly after college, unsure of her career path but eager to help people, she discovered massage therapy by chance. While visiting a friend who had just had a baby, she instinctively massaged her shoulders. Her friend said “You should do this!” and Alyssa responded “Do what?” Loving the shoulder massage she was getting, her friend responded back “Give massages, you’re great at it!” This planted a seed that led Alyssa to massage school. From her first class, she never looked back and has loved making a positive impact on others ever since.
Now specializing in myofascial release, she can help a wider range of clients than with traditional massage. Her approach combines firm yet gentle myofascial holds with direct structural releases, adapting each session to the client’s needs. She meets clients where they are, adjusting pressure and techniques to enhance their health and quality of life.
Alyssa enjoys working with complex medical conditions and guiding clients toward self-healing. She believes true healing is a journey, not a quick fix, and supports clients from acute care to long-term maintenance. She has a particular passion for cranial and intra-oral work, which subtly but profoundly impacts the fascial system. She also loves providing prenatal myofascial sessions, supporting clients through pregnancy and beyond.
An animal lover, Alyssa is a rescue cat and guinea pig mom and volunteers at a horse and donkey rescue. She hopes to explore equine myofascial release in the future. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and baking, often adapting recipes to fit her dietary restrictions.
