Chris is a Licensed Massage Therapist with six years of experience and a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute in Somerville. His journey into massage therapy began with a desire to find more meaning in his work. Before becoming a massage therapist, Chris worked as a security guard, but eventually realized he was looking for a career that allowed him to make a genuine difference in people’s lives.
Taking a leap of faith, Chris enrolled in massage school with the hope that he could build a career centered around helping others. It turned out to be one of the best decisions he ever made. He quickly fell in love with massage therapy and the ability to connect with people while helping them feel better. For Chris, the relationships he builds with his clients and the opportunity to make a positive impact are among the most fulfilling parts of his work.
Chris particularly enjoys working with clients experiencing muscle pain and stress in the upper body. His approach blends several techniques, including deep tissue, Swedish massage, sports massage, and cranial-sacral techniques, allowing him to create sessions that are both therapeutic and personalized.
He especially enjoys working with active clients who benefit from regular stretching and mobility work. Chris likes that every session can be different while still working toward an overall goal. Depending on what the client needs, he may incorporate acupressure, stretch therapy, and other techniques alongside massage. This variety keeps his work challenging, engaging, and focused on meaningful results.
Outside the studio, Chris has twin boy cats who keep him company. On his days off, he enjoys taking long walks (up to 10 miles!). He is also a big fan of R&B and soul music.
