Dave attended AKS Massage School in Virginia, beginning his massage therapy journey in 2004. With over 20 years of experience, he has developed a deep appreciation for the impact of therapeutic touch. Before pursuing massage, he worked in IT, handling the help desk for a company that didn’t survive the Dotcom crash of 2001. Searching for a new path, he took a job at a friend’s firm doing busy work. Little did he know, a casual moment with that same friend would change the course of his life.
One day, his friend asked him for a quick shoulder massage. Midway through, his friend remarked, “Man, you should go into this.” That simple comment sparked something in Dave, and just a month later, he was enrolled in his first massage class. Sometimes, life redirects you in unexpected ways.
Dave knew he had found his passion when clients started sharing how much better they felt after his work. Even when he wasn’t sure if he had done his best, they appreciated the experience, whether through relief, a good conversation, or even laughter. It showed him how much a positive mental and emotional state could enhance the healing process.
Over time, Dave gravitated toward deep tissue work but remains eager to expand his skills. He’s especially drawn to uncovering the root causes of pain, often hidden beneath physical, mental, or emotional layers. He enjoys helping clients connect the dots between their thoughts, emotions, and physical well-being.
Outside of work, Dave finds joy in YouTube, preferring it over traditional media. He loves inspiring videos, deep-dive film analysis, and discussions on social issues. Whether laughing or tearing up at stories of people helping others, he enjoys content that both entertains and enlightens.
